More than 3 crore young Indians have registered on the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) portal, marking a major expansion of the government’s youth engagement platform.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the milestone, saying the platform is helping provide young people with opportunities for experiential learning, volunteering and leadership development.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2023, MY Bharat was established as a technology-enabled platform to connect young Indians with opportunities to participate in the country’s development journey.
The platform provides a digital gateway for young people to access experiential learning programmes, volunteering opportunities, quizzes, youth dialogues, leadership initiatives and community activities.
MY Bharat crossed 2 crore registrations in October 2025 and reached more than 2.46 crore registered youth by August 2026.
The latest milestone of over 3 crore registrations highlights the continued expansion of the platform and its reach among young people.
According to the government, MY Bharat is also providing opportunities for young people to gain practical exposure beyond conventional classroom education.
As of August 2026, more than 1.22 lakh young people had enrolled in nearly 25,000 Experiential Learning Programmes.
These programmes allow participants to gain experience through volunteering and participation in different community and development activities.
A key initiative under MY Bharat is the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027.
The initiative provides young Indians with opportunities to present their ideas, creativity, leadership and innovation in support of the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
