PM Modi Shares Sanskrit Subhashitam on Self-Respect, Courage and Steadfastness

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of self-respect, courage, dignity and steadfastness in upholding one’s principles and values.

Sharing the verse on X, PM Modi highlighted the message of remaining firm in one’s ideals while facing challenges with determination and inner strength.

The Prime Minister shared the following Subhashitam:

“उद्यच्छेदेव न नमेदुद्यमो ह्येव पौरुषम्।
अप्यपर्वणि भज्येत न नमत्वेव कस्यचित्॥”

The verse conveys a message of self-respect and courage, urging individuals not to surrender their dignity or compromise their principles under difficult circumstances.

The Subhashitam emphasises that true strength lies in maintaining one’s resolve and standing firmly by one’s values.

Its message encourages people to confront adversity with courage rather than giving up or bending before circumstances.

The Prime Minister’s post also underlines the importance of truth, patience, determination and self-pride while navigating challenges.

The message places particular emphasis on steadfastness. It suggests that personal dignity and principles should not be compromised merely because circumstances become difficult.
